Virambhai Ranmal Odedra Passed away

It is with deep sadness to inform you that Virambhai Ranmal Odedra passed away at sunrise on Sunday, 19th January 2014 in East London, UK at the ripe and incredible age of 98.
He was born in Oddar on 28th December 1915 and later moved to Jinja, Uganda in the mid-1930s. He was a very well known jaggery (gor) businessman in Jinja and was known as “Virambhai Gor-Vara” by his beloved friends. His love and contribution towards the Maher Samaj of Africa and UK was always at heart. He is often remembered as the first Maher to travel by aeroplane.
After the Ugandan exodus in the early 70s, Virambhai moved to London with his family, where he lived ever since. He was the eldest brother of Nagabhai Odedra, Maldebhai Odedra (Malde-Bhagat), Rambhiben Karavadra and Lakhiben Gorania.
He leaves behind his wife Rudeeben (nee. Kuchhadia), sons Keshubhai (Wife Liluben), Arjanbhai (Wife Hansaben), daughters Deviben, Jayaben, Dharmishtaben, Shilpaben (and their respective families). Grandchildren, Priyeshbhai, Dipeshbhai, Sejalben, Karanbhai & Sohanbhai.

Please come home at 10am for Darshan and 12pm at City of London Crematorium, Aldersbrook Road, London E12 5DQ.
All guest are requested to come to the crematorium and at home (address above) for Prashadi after the funeral. May Bhagwan give peace to his soul to rest.
