Raju Karsanbhai Karavadra gets Private Pilots Licence

Congratulations to Raju Karsanbhai Karavadra originally from Bhetakadi, India and currently living in Leicester, on completing his ambition on successfully passing his Private Pilots Licence PPL.
It was his dream to obtain a licence in as many automotive’s as possible. Raju already has UK licenses to drive cars, forklifts and very large HGV’s he still wants to add to this list.
By far the most challenging test was to obtain his PPL where he passed 7 ground examinations.
These were :
• Air Law
• Human Performance
• Meteorology
• Communications
• Flight Performance and Planning(Aeroplane)
• Aircraft General Knowledge(Aeroplane)
• Navigation(Aeroplane)
After passing the 7 exams Raju completed a further two exams to obtain UK Flight Radiotelephony Operator’s Licence, these exams were: UK Communications and
Radiotelephony Practical Test
Flight Training
Raju was required to carry out a minimum 45 hours of training including 10 hours solo cross country navigation. This also included taking off and landing at two different airports within the UK covering approximately 270km/150NM within 10 hours.
After completing his 45 hours Raju took the practical test and successfully obtained the PPL license. The ground exams were conducted at Bournemouth airfield and flight training took place at Leicester Airport (www.leicesterairport.com).
Since passing his test he has flown many of his friends and relatives on the plane. One interesting story was that Raju and Ronak became proud parents of a beautiful little girl recently. His mother-in-law and brother-in-law – Prithvi came to visit the new arrival from Jamnagar.  Raju said he’ll take them shopping – and to their surprise he did take them shopping but the mode of transport was a plane.
He is proud to be a MAHER and is incredibly happy to gain such an achievement which once-upon a time was his own distant dream. Raju is a very humble person and wants to encourage fellow Maher brothers and sisters around the world to push the boundaries and try and achieve their dreams.
