DESCRIPTION:About Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi)\nThe bonding between a brother and a sister is simply unique and is beyond description in words. The relationship between siblings is extraordinary and is given importance in every part of the world. However\, when it comes to India\, the relationship becomes all the more important as there is a festival called “Raksha Bandhan” dedicated for the sibling love.\nThis is a special Hindu festival which is celebrated in India and countries like Nepal to symbolise the love between a brother and a sister. The occasion of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu luni-solar calendar in the month of Shravan.\nMeaning of Raksha Bandhan\nThe festival is made up of two words\, namely “Raksha” and “Bandhan.” As per the Sanskrit terminology\, the occasion means “the tie or knot of protection” where “Raksha” stands for the protection and “Bandhan” signifies the verb to tie. Together\, the festival symbolizes the eternal love of brother-sister relationship which does not mean just the blood relationships only. It is also celebrated among cousins\, sister and sister-in-law (Bhabhi)\, fraternal aunt (Bua) and nephew (Bhatija) and other such relations.\nReason for the celebration of this festival\nThe festival of Raksha Bandhan is observed as a symbol of duty between brothers and sisters. The occasion is meant to celebrate any type of brother-sister relationship between men and women who may not be biologically related.\nOn this day\, a sister ties a rakhi around the wrist of her brother in order to pray for his prosperity\, health and well-being. The brother in return offers a gifts and promises to protect his sister from any harm and under every circumstance. The festival is also celebrated between brother-sister belonging to distant family members\, relatives or cousins.

Once we finish there we’ll then make a way to our last temple which is –\nSANATAN MANDIR\n(4) – SANATAN MANDIR this is another beautiful mandir on Ealing Road in Wembley. The poshak of every murtis are beautiful\, you would be able to see the beautiful Swarovski diamonds on the ceiling. DESCRIPTION:Navratri 2018: Tuesday 9 th October – Wednesday 17 th October\nSingers: Various Popular Folklore Artists\nTimescales: 7pm to 12am prompt – Garba for ladies will begin at 7.30pm\nAgenda: Arti\, Garba\, Dandia-Raas\, 3-Tadi\, Heech\, Ranjanyu\, Sanedo\nFancy Dress: Friday 12th October @ 8pm promptly\nCompetition is open to boys and girls 14 years of age and under. We request participants to be in proper costumes. Judges will be looking for unique concepts and effort.\nArti Plate Design: Friday 12th October @ 8pm promptly\nCompetition is open to children and adults. We would like to request our elders to encourage children to take part in decorating an Arti plate.\nTraditional Dress Code: Saturday 13th October\nPlease wear our traditional Maher clothes on this evening. Ladies will have an opportunity to perform a customary Raasado and the Gents can perform a Maniyaro Raas to the dhol.\nMataji ni Sthapna and Puja Ceremony\nThere will be a Sthapna ceremony taking place on the first day of Navratri.
